Hello everyone!
I'm Joerg from beautiful Herdecke, right in the heart of Germany.
My nickname is Joelle, I'm 58 years old, and a firefighter by profession.
Since I tattooed alongside my firefighting job for 30 years, the name "madtatt" became my go-to, which I use in various model-making forums. However, I gave up tattooing 10 years ago and now prefer to focus entirely on ship model building.
When I was twelve, I built my first model with my father – a small warship. Apparently, ship model building has captivated me ever since.
I came across this forum through the German website modellmarine and have been reading along as a guest for some time now.
The quality of many of the ships in this model building community is remarkable and has fascinated me. That's why I'd now like to actively participate.
In January 2023, after almost two and a half years of construction, I completed a major project: the battleship Bismarck at a scale of 1:200. I'd like to present it to you in a short, time-lapse construction report.

I look forward to a lively exchange of ideas.
