I had erroneously posted a query onto my earlier posting regarding blocks. I wanted input on a Chris Craft kit by Dumas and by Garrett Wade -- which one to buy, Well, I did order, and received, my Chris Craft 1949 Racer from Garrett Wade and it looks just fine. Funny thing is , the box say DUMAS!. Yes, they are both the same model, crafted by Dumas, and the choice of where to buy probably lies simply in the best price. I am guessing that most people already knew this. I did get a $10 off coupon by buying from Garrett Wade!! The Chris Craft, 19 inch, 1949 Racer is the first modern boat I have built (now becoming my 22nd). The painting and finishing looks to be the most challenging task for me.
