Have been building models for many years, starting with plastic kits, moved on to small scale scratch built.
Built from solid wood. Balsa and even paper. Designed and built a 5 meter sailing kayak
Now have acquired a second hand Revel 1:96 Cutty Sark. Hull and deck more or less ok but masts and yards all over the place. A few hours in the freezer and everything pops apart.
Still thinking how much I can do with it. Used to be a metal fabricator, fitter, have a small lathe so the sky is the limit!
Would like to build another clipper at around two metres, use this one as an introduction and get my head around the detail and potential problems.
