Dear fellow modelers,

I'm giving away my Model Shipways Constitution. After building a hand full of ships, the latest one beeing the Sergal/Mantua Sovereign of the Seas I dont have the motivation to complete it. All the parts and pieces are accounted for to finish the model. I'm in the Phoenix area and if you are the state of Arizona we can meet up and hand it over. It looks like you have done amazing work Chris. If I may suggest, why not put it away for a while, a few months or a few years. You may yet get the itch to finish it. I have seen build logs of people who have put their ships away for a decade or more!

Hi Rob,
Thank you for the kind words, It's been sitting for roughly 5 years now and I know I've reached a point that the bigger ships are just to much now. when I finished up the Sovereign of the Seas I knew at that point the constitution would never get done. So hopefully it will go to a good home.

Vunderbar!! I don't wish to hijack this thread but I have to ask, by any chance are you keeping an illustrated build log? I've always enjoyed researching America's mostly forgotten First Rates from the Age of Sail and would love to follow your progress. Looks like you're almost in the home stretch. Thumbsup
 
Remarkable. Few people know about the handful of American first rates. Most know the Constitution if any.

Yes, put her into 'ordinary'. I shelved my Mamoli 'Blue Shadow' for 35yrs,.
