Hi everyone, nice to meet all you like minded folk, I'm on ship number 2 (Black Pearl) and still learning having started with the Halcon. Working up to HMS FLY and trying hard to get the planking right before I try it.

Perhaps you may want to share your black pearl build with us by starting a log.
Ask many questions and you will receive many wise replies.

Warm welcome to SoS. For planking there are some great discussions here at SoS on lining off so you can taper the breadths along the length of each strake and references to both written articles and videos on planking IF you want it to look like an actual ship. Then again, if you are going to paint the bottom, and cover the planking, it will hide many sins. :)
