I was given this kit many years ago. I realized that I didn’t have the skills yet so am working my way up.
 
the planking is absolutely incredible - was that part of the instructions on how to get it all cut like that or did you use one of the guides that, eh, shows how to cut it so all the planks line up nicely at the ends?

I bend the planks across the ribs , scribe a line on the previous plank , remove the new plank , whittle the first plank to the scribe line , then put the second plank back against it

That looks really nice. You've laid the planks very well. But as you can see from your pictures, you're no longer a beginner and have probably already built quite a few ships. Otherwise, the planks wouldn't look like that. May I ask how long it took you to plank the hull?

It looks great. I'm excited to see how it progresses and will check back again. :D Thumbsup
Perhaps you could show us one of your finished ships so we can admire your skills!
