Grand Banks Dory Man & Cod Fish figures

This is my Grand Banks Dory model by Bluejacket that I added extras to. I created the Dory Man and Cod Fish in 3D software and have made it available on Cults3D as a STL file for printing on a 3D printer. I wanted my model to represent the 1800s fish era so I created items like the small wood barrel with the flag marker, pulley for the fishing line, anchor, bait scoop and added fishing line and hooks to the wood bucket that comes with the model. If you are going to build a Dory model check out my Youtube about different models available and how to create a Dory man with or without 3D printing him. The Dory is a great beginners model if you are just starting out.

Note: My YouTube video references shapeways 3D and I.materialise. My 3D designs are only available on Cults3D at this time.

Carl, I purchased and downloaded you file of the fisherman. Fantastic. I just printed an 1/4" scale version. It will look good on my model railroad layout once painted. This photo shows him (unpainted) in a scale dory in front of some fishing shacks.

Well done Pete! I am looking forward to seeing it painted.Your fishing houses look wonderful. I'm sure you know if you want to add another fisherman to the boat You can use your 3D slicer software to do a mirror copy Then the fisherman will be looking the opposite direction. I do that trick a lot when I need it to look the opposite direction

I love that. Are those fishing huts scratch or kit?

The fishing shacks are scratch built. The one on the left have individually cut and placed wood shingles. The dory in the attached photo was a kit but I do have a scratch built dory in my stash of details to add.
