I have fond memories as a seven(ish) year old boy spending Saturday mornings with my dad building balsa wood airplanes. My dad was a busy guy and these times were very special. A trip to the Hobby Shop to pick out a new model was beyond happiness. The planes had rubber bands that were wound by turning a propeller. The fuselage, wings, rudder and stabilizer frames were covered with a tissue paper and then painted or sealed. They weren't really made for flying, but I tried anyway with mixed results.
Fast forward 50 years and with more time on my hands, I'm back at it.
Ron.....(my wife was born in the former Czechoslovakia and calls me Ronko)
