Greetings!!
I am new to this site and looking forward to sharing what I am currently up to.
For the past 22 years, (Or so), I have been captivated by wooden Ship modeling.
Since 2013 I was an active member of MSW.
I was extremely surprised and a little disappointed that MSW got "Trashed" so badly and felt very much for all the work that has gone, not only my own personal loss but the many, many members and, the years of collective experience that has been lost.
Anyway, I am sure that you are all very much aware of the tragedy of MSW and am hopeful that other MSW members will take the time to switch to a new forum, perhaps this one? (I guess time will tell.)
So, not to "Bang on" about the past, change is constant and I am looking forward to it!!
A bit about me:
I am now officially retired, my career has mostly been in technical roles, Switching Technician, Network Engineer, Etc.
I live with my partner and two very active Abyssinian boys. (Cats.)
Ship Models Completed:
While the build logs for the above subjects has been lost, I still have the photographic record of prior "Challenges" and am happy to share if required.
In the very near future, my intention is to re-boot my Flying Cloud build on this site.
I am currently two years into this project, not too much to do, (Well, quite a bit really), Spars and Masts ready to go, Hull/Deck complete.... Stepping Masts, attaching Yards/Spars, Rigging....
