Hello everyone my name is Ivan, I’m from Argentina, I’ve been reading this forum for a while and I decided to introduce myself.
I started this hobby nearly 10 years ago but I,ve been modeling since a kid basically free flight and rc planes.
Building ships was something I allways had on my list as a kid and now y make it true.
My first ship was the Harvey 1847 from ZHL, it took me about 300-350 hs to build but I didn’t added any extra details

The outcome was acceptable for me but I decided to make something more challenging and realistic so I build the Occre Endeavor with much more details ( 650-750 hs of work) such as painting, weathering and brass blackening oxidative patinas.IMG_4205.jpeg
Now I’m currently building de Artesanía Latina Soleil Royal hopping my kids get enthusiastic about this beautiful hobby IMG_4206.jpeg

Greetings from the Finger Lakes of New York! Those are some beautiful models. Please consider starting a build log as you continue work on the S.R.

Of course, soon I’ll start working with some brass parts an wires and I’ll post how to oxidise brass with a home made solution that gives a perfect black patina
