I joined SOS back in July. I grew up outside of Boston and now live near Baltimore. Lots of deep historical connections to the sea and ships of sail in these two areas. I recently retired and decided to get back to modeling starting with plastic models. I finished the Revell 1/96 Constitution in August this year and while it was an enjoyable 5 plus month build I decided to move to wood models going forward as I believe you can add more creatively to the design. I started the OcCre Albatros in September and will post a log of my progress soon. Glad to be aboard. I have learned quite a bit from the forums already.

I live in the Hunt Valley area north of Baltimore. I built plastic models as a kid and wood RC airplanes. I liked building the planes but not crashing them.
LOL been there done that I started building plastic models and ended up building stick and tissue Planes then onto RC planes I crashed quite often learning. I still build planes but now I build small 1/72 rc planes from foam. Mostly building wood ships and ships in battles the past 10 years. Hunt valley isn't that far from me 20 mins tops.
