Working on the part of the stem I have to fix small wooden parts to chisel or sand them in order that the different parts fit together.
I remembered a small toll I bought years ago and use this for holding small parts during working on them.
I think ithe hand vice is from Amati but I am not sure. It is very helpfull tool. Highly recommended.

I would be interested which tools you have and use for holding small parts, hand tools and / or maybe fixed tools on the work desk?

G'day Uwe
I've got couple of tools. A 'third hand' is good, but the main vice I use is a ball base multi directional lockable vice. It can hold something in any angle or direction.
I like your hand vice, but it's not for me.

A third hand I have also, if you mean this metal thing with two arms and some metal clamps......
But with this you can not fix a wooden part so strong, that you use a chisel, or?
Can you show us your „ball base multi directional lockable vice“? Sounds good, but It is not easy to imagine how it looks like

Here's a link to my YouTube video of the vice.
