I am about to start the build of the 1/350 minicraft Titanic model.
First scale ship by the way

The hawse pipes on each side, they look a bit "flat". What do you guys normally do? drill them out?
What about the one in front?

Thanks

I noticed you never received a reply about the problem you asked about! I was thinking about giving the mini titanic a try. It has good reviews on Amazon but I do not see much about it on here. Ships of Scale would be my place for advice. How did it go for you?
Thanks,

Hi Dr. Phil. I was wondering the same thing about the hawsepipes. The instructions for the model suggest filing (or I would say drilling) them out to make it look more realistic. As for the center one, great advice in Rivet Counter, section 26 Hawseholes, Improving The Bow Hawse. I tried it and it looks just great. Happy modelling.

Mulberry,
I have been absent from building but still follow site. Looking to start again soon with the Titanic. Keep me informed about how it’s going for you. Will get my work area set up in a week or two. Don’t know why there a few builders showing the 1/350 on S O S

Hi Zeus651. I've been absent from model building for over 50 years. I've always wanted to build a Titanic, so yes, I'll keep you posted as to how it's going. I'm still getting all of my supplies together from various dealers and hobby stores. It's costing more than I thought but will be worth it in the end. Now that I'm retired, I'll have a lot of time to take it slow and do it right.
