Hi from a new member and modeller. I have just attempted and finally finished the Sultan Arab Dhow from Artesania Latina. Have to say I'm very happy with outcome. Now about to tackle the Cazador Xebec and the HMS Fly any words of wisdom will be very gratefully received.

I got very excited earlier when the Cazador Xebec arrived. But unfortunately it will be going back as most of the wood and all of the planking was missing. So looks like I will be studying others boat builds even more now

Bad news ..... I am more often surprised, what happened to a kit, that several parts are missing - usually a kit manufacturer should have a quality control before a kit left to a retailer...... Hope, that you get asap a spare kit

You really should start a build log. Really, you should.!! Besides posting lots of pictures, you'll have a ready source of information and lots of builders looking over your shoulder.!! Win-win............Win.! Of course the real reason is if/when you need to ask a question, everyone will already be up to date with where you are in the build..... Or, if they're not, the build history is right there. Makes it a LOT easier.!!

Welcome aboard. This is a great place to come to if you have questions about anything that you're building. Many very helpful people here. A build log is nothing to be afraid of, and is a great way to point out where you are having problems.
