Hello everyone

I am a high school teacher, from Beijing. Responsible for students' technology courses and leading outstanding students to participate in navigation model competitions. National competitions and world championships.

I found this website while searching for information on the Internet. It's very good. I will learn many useful processing skills here and hope to share some of my works with my students

I hope to learn a lot of knowledge with everyone here

LiuQiang -- Welcome to Sos! You will find many great resources here: Many discussions and forums devoted to every aspect of model ship building, and many experienced model ship builders who are generous with their advice, encouragement, and maritime knowledge. China has a very deep history of seagoing vessels, especially their growing navy and dominant container ships. Don't forget to take advantage of the many Build Logs on this site, nearly every ship one might want to build, from every kit manufacturers. There is a strong focus on European warships from the 16th through 19th centuries on this site, so many regions are yet to be explored, like ships from Argentina and Chile, ships from Vietnam, and ships from Muslim countries. I am Asian too, and I would like to contribute model builds of important Japanese, Chinese and Filipino (Spanish) ships, like the Nippon Maru, the Sant Juan Bautista, the Kanrin Maru, and the Oshoro Maru. Enjoy this wonderful craft space.

LiuQiang - You may want to check out the Japanese model company Woody Joe, who have a decent collection of Japanese and Chinese sailing vessels, warships, and Buddhist and Shinto temples. They also have a good selection of European ships as well. Here's a link to a Woody Joe distributor:

I have the Nippon Maru 1/160 scale tall ship on backorder with Woody Joe. They are the only company that offers the Nippon Maru in such a scale and they have one even larger in the 1/80 scale. There are build logs on this site of folx building Woody Joe kits, like the U.S.S. Susquehanna, La Caravel, the Higaki Kaisen, and the Mississippi Steam River Boat.
