Hello All

I am an intermediate modeler who have been gone from the hobby for far too long.
As I approach retirement from 25 years of governmental service, I am itching to pick up the hobby again hopefully at a higher level.
I want to progress from plastic to wooden ships in the near future.

I have peruse your website for some time, but I truthfully was intimidated by the intricate and wonderfully crafted models that I have seen at this site. But my wife said I was being silly (I summarized her actual words) and to start a build log on my project for others to review, comment, and give helpful advise during the process.

I am starting again with an obsession of mine… The Titanic in 1/350 scale

Though I am not a rivet-counter level modeler. I plan to make the most accurate model I can. Hopefully improving my skill level as I progress.
I live in a rural area and a moderate city with no true museum of history. So I plan to build the model and if it passes my goals, the to donate to the county library so that the youth can see what the ship magnificent was like!

And maybe, pass on the seed of the Titanic obsession
