Hi to everyone

Just joined this forum, I am British workiing and living in China and just starting out building my first wooden ship model "The Golden Star 1/100 "
Currently completed the bulkhead and have started on the hull and deck planking

Looks sharp! I have been very impressed with the quality of Chinese kits, even if they go overboard with the laser cutter/ etcher sometimes. And considering where you are, shop local!.

The kit itself is very detailed, with everything included, two full page ship plans, however the colour manuel with lots of close up photos also included is in Chinese haha, but I have managed to find a translated version

The length of the ship is 750mm, so it should look impressive when finished, if I can make a decent job of it.

And the cost in dollar is around150USD, so I think pretty good value, and it is all I can purchase over here

I have one of their kits and it is a great value. Their instructions are in English and are very detailed with pictures of each stage of the hundreds of steps to complete their kit.

Unfortunatly because I purchased the kit in China the supplied instructions are in Chinese, however I did find an english transaltion on the website which I am using to help build the model, and the ship plans are mainly dimensions which is no problem and easy to follow. but lots of photos in the manual which makes life a litle easier

I have started the hull planking and I am hoping to complete the upper hull planking over the weekend.
