Good day all

I live in the uk and am 52 years old. Originally I started building free flight and control line model aeroplanes. Due to work, time and family model building took a back seat. 2 years ago I suffered 4 strokes and needed a way to help rehab my affected side once again turned to model making, but this time I wanted something that was slow and something that allowed me to rebuild fine motor skills and turned to ships. I am currently building the occre albatross and am absolutely loving building again.

Thank you for accepting me to this group and reading my post.

Hi Mark,
A warm welcome!
Are you planning on doing a build log? It would be a great learning experience for both you and us. I would love to follow your progress and see how you tackle the details of this ship.

Nice Albatross, Blowfish! Did you plank the deck with individual planks or did the deck come complete and lasercut? Looks great. As others have said, doing a build log on your builds is the best way to interact with SoS members. I sometimes put my questions to SoS members in bold or underline for members to pick up while skimming through. I'm on my 4th or 5th build log and the comments I received included helpful building advice, comparisons between stains/paints, adhesives, and sometimes lighthearted banter. Wishing you full sails and calm seas!
