Hello from Down Under.

I was only told about SOS about a week ago and had a look around and decided this was the place to be. :D

I am from Melbourne Australia. I also see a lot of old friends names whilst lurking in the back ground waiting for my account to be activated. I will play it safe and not mention those names just in case I miss a few. So I say hello o my old friends and hello to my new friends that I hope to meet in SOS.

I am currently building a Mamoli USS Constitution which I will start my build log in the near future. No doubt I will get a lot of support on my build here and hope I can return the favor by adding suggestions where I can om my new and old friens builds

Yes I also hope that I have enough parts.

I believe Daniel Dusek has bought Mamoli and is going to start producing with the MiniMamoli kits.

I am up to the stage where I have started on first layer planking. I will start a build log in the next few weeks

Some of the parts I am not happy with are the gun carriages as they are cast and also some of the cross brasses. I am more than likely to fabricate the gun carriages and probably the cross brasses.

Welcome to SoS Geoff. Your build sounds like a lot of fun. Hope that you find all the parts you need. There is always scratch building of parts to consider if any are missing.

Thanks for the welcome

It is going to be a challenging build. I know of one other build log on the Mamoli USS Constitution. That build was started 20 odd years ago. The build log starts basically after after all the planking had been completed. I have a PDF copy of that log with the builders own notes in it. I also have access to him which is handy if interpretation of plans is required.
