Hello all, glad to be here! I'm Gus, and I'm just starting out on my model ship journey. My wife gifted me the Model Shipways 18th Century Longboat kit as my first model, and it's been a blast so far! In fact, I'm enjoying myself so much that I purchased the Mantua Racehorse as my next kit (I love Arctic/Antarctic exploration).
Also, thank you all for having this fantastic resource. It's been incredibly helpful to look through other people's builds to visualize techniques, troubleshoot problems, and research kits. I haven't been taking enough pictures for a comprehensive build log, but I'd like to do that on my next project.
