Good evening everyone,
I’m excited to be joining the forum and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
I was a former member of MSW and documented my builds of the Artesania Latinas San Francisco and the Carmen II tuna fishing boat. Life eventually got busy, and before I knew it, nearly TEN YEARS had passed since I last sat down at the workbench.
Like many hobbies, wooden ship modeling has a way of calling you back. There’s something uniquely satisfying about transforming a box of wood, brass, and plans into a miniature piece of maritime history. I’ve missed the challenge, the craftsmanship, and just as importantly, the community that comes with it.
I’m certainly not an expert, but I enjoy learning new techniques, improving with each build, and seeing the incredible work that others share. One of the things I’ve always appreciated about this hobby is how willing experienced builders are to offer advice and encouragement, and I hope to do the same whenever I can.
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and following along with everyone’s projects. I’ll soon be starting a new build log with a project that has an incredible story behind it, one I think many of you will enjoy following and can’t wait to share in the adventure.
