Hello to all.
Jake Hernandez here, returning to the beautiful world of wooden ship models! So many hobbies, so many projects! After finishing the hull and deck works on my HMS Bounty a few years back (My first wood ship model), I put it aside to learn a little and get ready for the rigging. Then got caught up in a few plastic models. I'm back on the Bounty now, working on masts and yardarms. I was a member years back, with the SMA whose meetings were in Fullerton, CA. Tried to show up at last months meeting but no one showed. Can someone please tell me if this SMA club is still meeting? Maybe the address changed? I see no website activity.
I certainly hope for the health and wellbeing for all the members I remember but time does pass and life happens. I have a renewed love for working with my wood tools again and look forward to learning much here at Ships of Scale!
