Hello from East Tennessee

I am completely new to the hobby. Like many I have seen on the forum, I have ordered the model shipways 3-boat series as my introduction. This seems like the a great hobby for me, coming from whittling (mostly spoon making) and leatherwork (had a small side business for quite some time.) I enjoy working with my hands and disconnecting from technology for a bit because my day job has me at a computer or fixing them for most of the day. My kits will be delivered tomorrow and I am excited to join the forums and progress.

Kudos to all of the exceptionally skilled makers on here. Some of your build journals and guides are incredible. CANNOT WAIT to start my dory.

Welcome to the forums ! I'm very glad to hear you have started with the 3 model expo kits ! They are a great start !
Don't forget to sent Model Expo a picture of your Dory when it is done. I believe they will still send you a credit for the cost of the Dory kit to use on your next purchase. :)

Appreciate it! I find it fascinating how much attention is given to historical accuracy in this hobby. I bought an extra dory for a friend at work who was looking over my shoulder while I was checking out EZ model building on youtube.
