I'm in my early 60's returning to scale modelling having not done any since my teens. Have acquired both plastic and wooden model kits of planes & ships.
Having recently moved house & converted my basement, am looking forward to many hours of joy!

Welcome from the next County along. Surely you must be planning to build the Golden Hind and/or Revenge?
 
Welcome Andy I'm a similar age and returned to modelling a couple of years ago :) also spent a lot of years in guz in the navy union street rules lol
 
Andy, have a look at the website: www,modelshipwrights.org. We, the Society of Model Shipwrights, are not a forum, but we do run monthly Zoom meetings and issue a monthly news letter. We have members throughout the UK, in Canada and the USA. We have just celebrated our 50th Anniversary. Our model making interest covers the age of sail and the age of steel and steam and at the outset we were closely linked to the quarterly publication "Model Shipwright".
