First of all thanks for admitting me on this forum. (is a member of a Spanish version for some years now). I am Danisch born of the West Coast of Northern Jutland, but since the last 45 I am living in Spain in front of the mediterranean sea. New here on this Forum, but old in building Ships (born in a Naval Family) first build as a boy was plastic aircraft and a few ships- Cutty Sark , Thermopylae and old Ironside. Then by the way of luck I got as a gift a half finished Model of "Wasa" from billing boats -about 1976. since then only wooden Ships. In beginning it was mainly Kits from Billing , as I at that time was in Denmark. there was no other choice at that time. I was then transferred by the work Company to Madrid Spain - a real Mekka for ship modeller, with at least 3 main stores dedicated on the most known manufacturers and all types of fittings.
All this was before this new computer world, internet, google etc. you were lucky to by a magasin at that, so you learned by work-error again work- error until you finally got it.
As iI during my time here in Spain was traveling a lot around western world, a ship toke about two three years to build, as i only was building for fun. After Wase camo "Victoria" from Amati, where most of the Wooden part You had to saw them Yourselves- not Laser Cut- next was "Norske Love" 1980 Ihave build this ship 3 times, each one better than the other, but in my heart the 1Th. was the best- p.S. I wsas a time on Sea rescue in the Nord Sea when I was in the Navy in Denmark.
Thanks again
Poul Erik
