Hello everyone,

I am Rico from the Netherlands, age 33.

My profession is carpentry and i have some experience with woodworking.
In januari this year i started my first wooden kit. The Polaris from OCCRE. I made this one to see if my interest lies in de wooden Shipbuilding. Now a month after finishing the Polaris my hands are itchy to start on a new model.

Therefore i ordered the H.M.S. Bounty from Billing boats. I guess i'm going to have some questions during the build since the manual is a little short.

You sure will have questions with that Billings kit, as the plans are of Bounty as she was before the Navy converted her.

I used "The Armed Vessel Bounty" by John McKay & a set of Amati plans, for reference when building my Bounty. The mast tops are unique on her, they are grating style, not planked.

Wow you are right on the plans in the book you mention.
It is quiet expensive though. i downloaded the greyscale copy of the book.
For now i dont have a lot of questions on the build ( I started the planking of the hull )

When i'm stuck i will get back to SOS.
