Hey folks, I'm Ken O'Brien aka Canute. Retired USAF aviator. Have done a skosh of ship modeling; most of my wood experience is in model railroading, primarily HO scale. Been reading lots of stuff on the various sites and gearing up to try my hand.

I have a MS Bounty Launch inbound for my first shot. Instructions look first rate and I suspect I can get amplification from the crew here. :roll:

Welcome aboard. Having been a model railroader, you should have no trouble with this hobby. I actually find it more challenging and more rewarding. The difference is that the project is usually smaller than a 4 x 8 layout and can become more complex because of the rigging and changes that rigging went through over time. Each nation had it variations which sometimes varied considerably even among sister ships.
