Hello I'm Alex from Croatia. After years of delaying,not by choice,I finally decided to go back to my model building.
Recently i bought Ancre's Hermione monogram. Currently I'm busy with my workshop(garage really that I plan to convert)

So no pictures yet,simply because I had no time to start anything.Today I went to buy materials for workbench,there will sit lathe if they ever deliver it to me.
Next weekend i hope I'll be finally ready to dive into work.
I've been studying plans for Hermione,can’t wait to start working on it.
First thing first :build workbench

Welcome to SoS! You will find many knowledgeable and helpful people here and also very useful resources, group builds, build logs, product reviews, etc. Will you be using your new lathe just for model boat building, or are you going to do some woodworking & turning also? I turned my third floor 2-bedroom mother-in-law apartment into a model building shop, power tool shop and wood drying area. Fair winds and following seas!

Hi Jimsky,
I might be in the wrong thread here, but I noticed Alex is from Croatia while showing a Belgian flag. Since I’m on holiday in Germany right now, I see a German flag next to my name even though I’m actually from the Netherlands. Once I'm back home, it’ll change back to the Dutch one.
 
To clear confusion,I live and work in Belgium but I come from Croatia,I was born there and lived there most of my life.Lathe came in yesterday afternoon,so i need to connect everything oil and grease it,break in machine etc.I will use it primarily for model making.I haven’t use lathe for quite some time some practicing is in order.
