Hello I'm Alex from Croatia. After years of delaying, not by choice,I finally decided to go back to my model building.

To clear confusion,I live and work in Belgium but I come from Croatia,I was born there and lived there most of my life.Lathe came in yesterday afternoon,so i need to connect everything oil and grease it,break in machine etc.I will use it primarily for model making.I haven’t use lathe for quite some time some practicing is in order.
Ah, I understand now how it works:)
Only, which algorithm determines the flag?

Looking forward to seeing what kind of beautiful work you'll produce on your lathe!

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. It's always helpful to hear from someone who has actually dealt with this firsthand rather than just reading general advice online. I picked up a couple of useful points from your post, and I'm sure others who come across this thread will find it valuable as well. Looking forward to seeing more updates and hearing how things turn out.

Hallo fellow shipmates. My name is Keith Harrison and I am now imprisoned in an old folks home in British Columbia ;). After the wife died, I was lost, and it took me years to feel as though I might just be able to take it all up again. Alas! age catches up with you when you need it most . Years ago I started to do a 1:48 model of Warrior 1780. Well it has stayed on the top of my kitchen cupboard untill I could get help to take it down and remove the cobwebs.

This presented a problem because I now have tools (cellphone) with which to send photos and I used to use a camera . The reason I feel stalled is my learning time is making me even slower. I will persevere however, and maybe show some better ships, which I did after I retired from the mill.
