Thank you. I was trying to figure out posting my little barge project for help and comments. I was interested in what you said about the two halves of the hull. This is my first ship model and I assumed it was common to do this. I've built a few scratch aircraft models and they are split down the middle usually. Interesting photo, especially the rigging. Scary stuff.Welcome Henry, you'll find this forum is quite friendly and full of helpful information and support.
I have built that Billings kit, Will, and some other thames barges. The Will kit was curious as it is the only kit I've encountered that builds the hull in two longitudinal halves and then joins them along the middle. It works for models, as I show here.
