Hello. I am Lee. or Admiral Nelson. Age 34 from Manchester, UK.
I have been reading this site for a while but only recently made an account.

Would love to make friends in this community and learn from the pros!

Very new to wooden model ship building. Only just converted from plastic kits: started my first wood kit which I found for cheap. A Santa Maria by Constructo (I have added an image of progress up-to-now).

My dream ship to build is Shackleton's Endurance or HMS Victory (if I can find the space to keep them).

Thanks, would love to hear what you are working on right now.

Welcome to SoS. Do look at the many build logs here and take the advice of dozens, start with a high quality but easy kit or two to learn the basics. Then, depending on your priorities, be it price, quality, historical accuracy or whatever floats your boat, choose your big project. Ther are probably hundreds of models that you mentioned that were never finished because they were too far advanced and frustrating as a result for builders with a minimum of experience.
No matter your route, good luck!
Allan
