My interest in things nautical started way back in the 50s with the first builds being from plans in the model maker. My preference is to scratch build miniature scale ships from sailing to cargo and lately finished MV Waiotahi MV Tuhoe and currently working on a small schooner SS Huia all built here in New Zealand and around 100ft long in 1/130 scale.

I enjoy conversing about ships on line etc. Its winter here at the moment lots of time in nice warm workshop beavering away., and called in for tea etc at the appropriate time (very loving caring wife)
