Maybe you could show us the rigging drawings for the complete bowsprit? Here we can see only an excerpt, so no guess in moment.
Or somebody who build the same model can explain (if he/she remembers).
Maybe @Anthony1 can answer .... he is building the same model in moment

If I have a criticism of this kit it is the plans. That’s the only view. I have tied the lower block below the bowsprit and I’m going to tie off on post 66.

Ok, I asked for more plans, because your photo is not showing the complete bowsprit

Thanks Anthony. I’ll see how tying off on the post looks and tie it off on itself if it’s no good. These are the only other diagrams of the bowsprit.

Hi guys. I’m back again. Confused. I have dry rigged my lower shrouds and the standing rigging to the outer belay pins to find that the standing rigging passes through the shrouds. I can’t see a way round it. Is this correct?

It is unusual that the standing rigging is passing the shrouds (between the ratlines)
Can you show us maybe the belaying plan of the kit?

BTW: Do you know this book or the planset reivew of "HM BARK ENDEAVOUR - Her Place in Australian History" by Ray Parkin?
Maybe the photos of the drawings can help a little bit

Hi Robster!

There is no running rigg rope running through the shrouds and ratlines. The ropes go parallel to the mast or behind the shrouds to the deck.
There are numeroues models in prestigious museums of the world that are not accurate and many kit manufacturers provide completely outdated model reconstructions.
In my opinion, Karl Heinz Marquardt' book is the best interpretation.

Hi everyone. I think I have managed to work around most of them except the line that ties off on belay pin 543 coming from block 542.

Hi Robster!

SANY1085.JPG
These are the clue-lines (12).

SANY1088.JPG
These are the Yard-Lifts (5).

The ropes run in the direction of travel in front of the shrouds but on their back side through the mast-tops to the belaying-pins. The Corel drawing is wrong. The ropes for the clue-lines of the forecourse or maincourse (mainsails) run in front of the shrouds.

Best regards

Thanks Thomas. After a day of scratching my head I have realised that my belay pin rack is in the right place the holes are not. I drilled the right amount of holes equal distance apart. If you look at the plan they aren’t. So my cunning plan is to drill an additional belay pin hole forward. Move all the tie down points one pin forward and it will all fit with maybe one of the rigging lines just kissing the forward shroud without passing through it. I think I said before I wasn’t happy with the plans but my wife did buy me the kit 20 years ago.

I know it is a bit late to answer -I lost your message - I have been through all the Images -some making more confusion than help. In one of the Images, I will attach, you can following the Rig. from564, 585, 586,588,589,590 . This all started with the upper Yard of the bows, and end on the pin rail. Your first drawing made it clear to me that it was either to fasten one of the two yars.

Thanks. It’s going well. I have rigged the bowsprit and should have the foremast rigged in the next couple of days. I’ll post some photos once that’s done.
