As a new member, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself.

My modelling journey started with plastic aircraft kits. After that, I took quite a long break from the hobby before returning to build my first wooden sailing ship model, the Black Pearl. It wasn't a kit—I only had the plans published by DeAgostini. I built it using whatever materials I could find (including some plywood from an old wardrobe! ). The result is shown in the photos below.

At the moment, I'm working on the San Felipe by ZHL. I already have a few modifications in mind, and I think she'll turn into a beautiful model. I'll let you be the judge.

My next big project will be the Bismarck from Hachette. I was fortunate enough to receive the complete collection, from issues 2 to 140, as a gift. The only thing I'm missing is issue #1—or at least a scan of the instructions and any inserts that came with it. Finding those was actually one of the reasons I came across this forum.

I also have the HMS Victory by Constructo waiting patiently on the shelf for its turn.

So, that's a little about me. I'm looking forward to learning from the wealth of experience here and sharing the progress of my own builds with you all.
