Thanks for having me here, I am currently building the Amati RMS Titanic 1912 1:250 will try and post some photos latter of my progress.
I have also built Occre's Mississippi Paddle Steamer which just needs a few finishing touches, the Mantua Amalfi fishing boat and have made a start on Atisania Latina's Titanic lifeboat

Welcome aboard. I think you will find this is an enjoyable forum with friendly and knowledgeable people. I have heard that the Amati Titanic is a very good representation of the ship. I looked at Mantua's version and it looked interesting also. I just bought the Billings version and am waiting on info and parts from them. One of the wooden part sheet with many parts including frames was not depicted and thus do not know what parts are what. Will be interested in seeing the difference in the building of your model. Do you have the book "RMS Titanic a Modeler's Manual" by Peter Davies-Gardner?

Hi Aracnan and welcome. I am very glad you joined. I am sure you will find plenty here to interest you.

Hi Aracnan

This looksto be a great forum and I am delighted to have been accepted.

July 2014 is a long time ago. How did you get on with your Amati Titanic. I am just about to start on this kit with a view to adding power and RC. My previous boats are:

Billings Nordkap, Mantua Bruma, Touchwood Bluebird K7, Dumas Chris Craft 19" racer, Billings Sl-mo-shun, scratch build SRN6 Hovercraft, and finally Amati Riva Aquarama. All RC powered models.

The Titanic will definitely provide new challenges, so I am looking to learn from anyone with experience of building her. I hope you will be able to help.
