Hi Everyone

Hi Hornet, probably the reason why you had trouble with some of your pics is that you are Down Under. I even tried turning my computer screen upside down, ;) but nothing changed. However, as explained, there is a way. Love to see them the right way round.
Btw, what I can make out of the models, they look great.
Hope you don't mind me asking where you got this part and that part, and the list goes on, me asking questions.
There must be somewhere in Australia to buy the scale parts that are ridiculously, too hard for these battered hands to carve for these models, I believe.

This looks like the Bounty Stern, but I cannot quite make out the name of the boat. Was she made from a kit?

Hello, my pictures were doing the same thing. I know nothing about computers, I use an Android phone, I had to get my son to look for me what he came up with is he changed the way I took pictures. Now he has it set on landscape not portared, now I have to take the pictures holding the phone like a camera, then I can be use the attach file , this is just one I have taken recently.

I take all my photos with my phone. They always look correct when viewing on my phone. However, I also upload everything to my PC before posting, and despite how they may look on the phone, many of them are rotated once they are transferred to the PC. I can't explain it, and I work in I.T.!

I'm guessing that some folks upload photos to SOS directly from their phone, and don't know whether the image will be correct once uploaded, because it looks fine on the phone.

Hi Gary, Aa lot of my models have upgrades that are scratch built. Some parts I have bought from Modellers Central and Frontline Hobbies. I also make some of my own rope with a home made powered ropewalk.
 
Hornet, welcome aboard. Being on my first ever wooden ship model (USS CONSTITUTION, MS2040 Model Expo) unlike the plastic ones I've built over the last 30+ years, I can always use advice and pointers from experienced modelers/assemblers of wooden model ships. I'm learning how wooden ship models are really in their own realm and certainly takes it to the next level including, gluing my digits almost daily and producing a snowstorm of saw dust from sanding, lol!

Yes, Hornet, that is right also. Luckily for me, I have lots of bric and brac from other things I have built over the years. However, they have increased a bit more recently.

A Home-made powered rope walker would be nice to see how it works. Love to try to build one. Where did you obtain your information, as well as the electric motor, etc.?

I got some ideas from YouTube but mostly my own creation. Bearings from eBay, motor from local electronics store. Motor speed control came from my Dominoff Serving Machine.

I think you need to rotate the images before you upload them and put them in the right position.
