This is my finished Japanese 17th century cargo ship 1/72 scale from Woody Joe. The kit is beautifully designed and while the instructions are in Japanese they are very clear and well illustrated. This ship is very different from western ships. No keel, no deadeyes, no ratlines, a retractable rudder, doors that slide like those on Japanese houses, etc.

I didn’t do a build log because I didn’t know how well it would turn out.

There are two versions of the model. This is the one that allows the builder to show some of the internal structures such as the dual capstans, and internal cabin details.

Beautiful model WELL DONE, this has been on my wish list for some time, right now it is just a wish waiting for my two kits to come on the market, and need to finish up my gun boat, and the blandford build, the gun boat is about 2 weeks from completion, the blanford a little longer

A very interesting vessel - could be fun to learn some new structure and construction types....
If you made some photos during the construction, it would be great to show us - it worth to show
