HM gun brig Adder 1797

careful about the anchors. the ring does not fit . you must enlarge the hole, but it snaps easily. your model looks great!

Thanks, Yours looks amazing, and nice to see a close up on how you tied your anchor.
I didn't tie my anchors the proper way, I found the rings to small to run the rope trough twice and I'd already broke one anchor.

You may want to consider giving it a try next time, it will help a LOT. It takes a little time, but the fit will be much better and very little if any sanding will be needed compared to the time needed for sanding out the lifted edges. Another little thing that makes a difference, the garboard strake ends at the boxing joint and does not carry up the stem. This makes it easier to get all the strakes to end in the rabbet as was done on the ships.

I'm back to ship modelling after very many years. In my past years, there was no internet to help. Comments here are most appreciated for a better build. I learn a lot from those more experienced than me and appreciated their input either on my build log or that of others. Many thanks Allan.
