Just ordered the Beagle kit from Occre during their Black Friday sale. I got 25% off plus 10% for being a Occre club member. Looking forward to starting this build sometime in December.

No, and I won't do one. I like modelling on my own, solving my "problems" my way as they arise. And I am such a lousy, (or lazy?) photographer...Pepite, Have you setup a build log yet? I'd love to follow along.

Not sure why but this is one of my favourite bits! where you can feel the hull coming together and smoothing out (hopefully). Anyway like it or not - nice job you've done there so far!Finished the first planking of the hull. I have trimming, some filling, and a lot of sanding to do before I start the second plank layer. I think this was my least favorite part of the build. Final planking is not much more enjoyable but at least it starts to look good. Really looking forward to putting trim pieces and decorations on the hull.

Thanks for the compliment. I just want to get past the planking so that I can get to the details that make the Beagle unique. In the meantime, I have assembled the cannons, and the gunport covers for one side of the ship. Not sure why but this is one of my favourite bits! where you can feel the hull coming together and smoothing out (hopefully). Gaps around the port covers - The second (veneer) layer can even those up I'm sure, just don't sand them quite flush to the inside of the port apertures maybe? Thanks for the compliment. I still have to paint the covers black and the lightly sand them. Also notice the gap between the gunports and the covers. Not sure how I can fix that issue. Any ideas?
