Hms Endeavour - Billing Boats

Hi Knut,

A fleet of Endeavours!!! BIG effort and well done. At the conclusion of this exercise, it would be really useful if you were to rate the various methods used, which you finally felt was the most effective and produced the best result. The greatest problem we all face typically is getting effective methods of shaping and bending (without destroying the timber) - What would you recommend?

I have a solder bolt that has been rebuilt, I will use it when I get this far.
There are many ways to bend the materials, salmiyak bath, steam iron, hot water.
There are many different types of materials which have very different quality, hard and soft, which can be bent with different techniques.
I am no expert on this technique, but that is what I want to try with these three hulls.
Practice makes perfect.
I attach a picture of the tool I will try first.
