Thank you for this Allan. We should all be able to make a model with so few and such minor bumps in the road
the sailors will have an easier time handling the guns with the the double blocks!

Always have to keep the team happy….Hmmm --- had no idea either - good to know. Not a big deal, but according to Caruana in The History of English Sea Ordnance the running out and train tackles for guns smaller than 32 pounders used two single blocks. Something for the future.

IMO -- blocks ALSO make a huge difference - Out-of-the-box blocks in all kits work-wide need to be the first bits tossed into the trash bin.Good morning gentlemen.
Well, on this fine winters morning in the Cape of good hope I thought I would frustrate you some more with some more bouncing.
Maybe in a few years I will put something completed together![]()

And the final bounce- some more work on the bulkwalk……staining a red tinge into the cherry and more nail holes and work.

I’m having fun playing with this ship and driving you guys nuts.

Hi John,I'm sure to be stepping on a few toes here

I'm sure to be stepping on a few toes here - Yea in a fully rigged ship aftermarket blocks may add hundreds $$$ to the cost of any kit.
Regards,
Good morning John and Allan. There is no substitute for good blocks. My view is I need all the help I can get when building a ship so some decent blocks go a long way to covering my “hack”Hi John,
You have struck a nerve and hit on a pet peeve. Thank you. If you are stepping on a few toes, do step down hard and maybe the ones putting those things in the box will finally take notice. There are a couple exceptions, but the so-called major manufacturers that supply those things should be embarrassed.
Allan
Yep - we never stop learning. I was attempting to copy one of the master of rigging guys on this forum so it makes me feel better he too made this errorHmmm --- had no idea either - good to know.

‘It’s all in the Details’ and they looked very fine, Grant. And canons on that nice main cabin floor …… I hope they give it a good finish.Good evening gentlemen. Over past few days I have really tried to get something together so we can at least start to see a little something other than Ricochet bouncing about.
Attached 6 cannon - two in the main cabin fully rigged and finished the sliding/removable
panel cabin bulkhead:

Hello Paul. Thanks for this. I sometimes think that there are plenty of missing boxes yet to be foundJust checking off box after box! I love the overall look of this model! Way to go, Grant!
. I am feeling pretty encourage at the moment with the look and feel of her......detailed accuracy not so much. I gave up on that a while ago when I realised this kit required too much change to achieve any form of authenticity. I keep adding as much as I can, even if they are more representative than accurate. Cheers GrantThanks Stephan. You become an expert in cannon rigging.
Good morning Peter. Thank you. I am going to add as much as I can as the kit provides very little detail inside. I pretty chuffed so far except for the dust on those areas with linseed oil.....Eish.‘It’s all in the Details’ and they looked very fine, Grant. And canons on that nice main cabin floor …… I hope they give it a good finish.
Regards, Peter
Thank you kindlyGreat job on that bulkhead!
Good morning Dom. She is getting there.....slowly slowly. Thanks for the compliment.Nice perspective of the internal layout, looks awesome. Model ship = dust!
Temp in the UK has finally dropped to "bearable" so I will pick up on the rigging later this week!
Dom
