I experimented with ink on my Granado, but when I needed to unglue a white glue part (using water), it caused my inked areas to run and make a huge mess, so I continued with paint. I'm sure you were neater than me, as that's a really great job. And SO MUCH RIGGING!Thanks Ragnar. I used no paint or varnish on wood, all color with ink.

A lot of rigging there!
Thanks Herb for your comments!Where and when did you get the model? How long did it take you to build him? I think I am most amazed at the detail in the rigging.
All I can say and others have said it…REALLY REALLY NICE JOB!!!Thanks Herb for your comments!
The model was bought in March 1996 and worked on during the winter months from October to March each year. I had to study and learn the technical aspects for the warship at each stage of its construction. The build lasted 29 years, thus she is my first and only ship model.
