HMS Sovereign of the Seas - Bashing DeAgostini Beyond Believable Boundaries

Well, Kurt, when you finally come to the stage of hanging these beautiful ornaments, I can assure you that you will experience such a heightened sense of gratification. All of your hard-won experience and skill will have been worth every second.

Yeah... I cant wait! It's getting close to printing time.

Blender is the BEST !!! For F R E E !!!
My design work is shocking even blender with Claude’s assistance doesn’t help…..plenty respect for Kurt’s work.

Things are moving faster. I cheated a bit by using Meshy to make AI generated icons for Capricorn and Virgo because I couldn't find online assets that were approriate for the decorations. ChatGPT created images for both, then Meshy, and online model generating tool, used those images to create 3-D models. THe models were then combined frames I made and then cleaned up. The other zodiac models below were made using techniques I have been using for the rest of the decorations. Meshy can create much better models faster than I can, and costs $20 per month to use. If I had subscribed to Meshy earlier, I could have cut my modeling time by half. Next is to look over the Payne engraving and make any decorations which were missed, then printing can begin!

Meshy AI made these hancing figures from ChatGPT images created using my descriptions. I am thinking about bashing them to replace the hancing pieces which are at the four corner of the waist of the ship. With a few modifications, such as the scroll railings they sit upon and other details, I think they would be a vast improvement. What do you guys think?

They would look something like this...

Do you sleep or is your mind pre-occupied with this build? No matter what I type will change your mind. For you to achieve the most fantastic build I have ever seen, I think your pursuit of each of these figurines is mesmerizing. How's come when I try to type a message that AI wants to substitute words for me? Freakin BS.

Ever wonder what these sailors went through? My mind cannot grasp what they had to endure. Keep it up.

It’s amazing what the nowadays programs can do to help you with that amount of sculptures, Kurt. What I can see (with my lack of knowledge of AI) it’s a nice improvement.
Does this also give a better result from the printer?
Regards, Peter
I was truly amazed by the Meshy output too. The AI output is not perfect, but it does a lot of the heavy work, and the things which need changing to make the figures appear like the ones on the ship require a small effort compared to what is needed to create the decorations completely by myself. Let's see what I can do with them.

AI is putting words in your mouth? ;)

This build is taking advantage of all the tools that can be afforded easily. These tools have changed a lot since the model started, including availability of AI 3-D model generation, and that made changes in how the model is built. Also, my skills have been improving the entire time. That's why the method and direction of this build has been changing since it started.

The AI models are detailed, but several details are incorrect so they need editing. I don't know yet if the additional details provided by using AI models will be visible in the resign printed decorations yet. Perhaps all those details won't show up in the prints. That all depends on the resolution of the resin printer. And I haven't even learned how use that printer yet. One step at a time...
