The second of two ships in the 1845 ill-fated Franklin Expedition, HMS Terror, kit by OCCRE. Completed August 2023.
In September 2016, HMS Terror was found almost completely intact in Terror Bay, Canada.
She was a converted Bomb ship which participated in the siege of Fort McHenry where Francis Scott Key wrote the Star-Spangled Banner.

My joy in building these wood ship models is twofold: to make history come alive in the model and the sheer fun and satisfaction of making a lasting embodiment of that history.
My proposed project to build the Mary Celeste* from the Matthew Turner kit is inspired by the cloak of mystery surrounding this ship and her unusual history.
Mary Celeste (/səˈlɛst/; often erroneously referred to as Marie Celeste[1]) was a Canadian built, American-registered merchant brigantine that was discovered adrift and deserted in the Atlantic Ocean off the Azores Islands on December 4, 1872. Mary Celeste was built in Spencer's Island, Nova Scotia, and launched under British registration as Amazon in 1861. Her story is long and complex. I invite you learn about her and her unusual career and shady end. I plan to begin working shortly after Christmas this year. "All the Brothers were Valiant"

This forum has really peaked my desire to build, however. my wife has limited my buying to two large ships a year due to cost.
(s-h-h-h, I may sneak a third in there. ;) Thanks for the nice comments!
