Wow! Great job on this vintage kit. I quote your choice to let her totally unpainted!
The kit itself dates back to 1988. I acquired it from an estate. The wood is far too beautiful to spoil with paint. Fortunately, there is plenty of it left over.

Good for you! Giving preference to quality woods and not painting to replicate appears to be a unique thing amongst modelers. Trying to replicate a vessel's looks is what gets you to the paint. Fine woods and attention to finishes will generally trump detail and authenticity for me.

Awesome! Ever consider wiring your builds with some mini lights? I've added some to my under-construction Rattlesnake. Wires are hidden and on/off switch is in the base.
