Bri62 That is just beautiful build progress I can see this being a Exhibition piece once finished, only wish I had the display space to build the Caldercraft kit.
Pulled up a chair and will be watching for the incoming updates.
Appreciated and your welcome get comfy will be a long one :)

Bri62, nice to meet you.
I've been following your Victory project from the very beginning.
Your craftsmanship is incredibly meticulous.
Your Victory is truly magnificent, and the careful work of attaching the copper plates is superbly executed.
Awesome!! :D

Hi guys well what can I say sort of burnt myself out on this one, had a rest from modelling as I lost all interest, but I think I found my mojo again and will be resuming the build soon ..............see you soon

Building 1:72 scale Victory model may become discouraging at some point when one realizes how huge it becomes. When finished it require a display case at least 5 feet long, 3.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. Even if all is complete the question remains where to find a space to display it.

Hello Bri,

Like you my Mojo has to be in the right place for model building. I have found that I build ships in the winter months when the days are short and cold outside, and then work on other hobbies railways, and model locomotives in the summer when the days are longer and warmer. This works well for me.

Currently building Jotika "Mary Rose" but modified to the original design of 1511, not it's later condition when modified a before it sunk off Spithead.
So it involves building the hull per the kit but with more decks and taller in the Forecastle and Summer Castle.

Victory looks a super kit, but I prefer Nelson's favourite ship Agamemnon so that will be my next kit when I have completed Mary Rose.
