Started the ratlines and would like your honest opinion before I trim and glue I know some will say there the wrong colour but they are part of the standing rigging therefor tarred.

Based on historical accounts the rigging, including the ratlines, would have typically been tarred.
  • Tarred Colour: The ratlines were treated with Stockholm tar, which appears as a dark brownish-black or black.
  • Model Accuracy: While some model kits suggest lighter colours, many experts and historical modellers argue that untarred (tan) ratlines are inaccurate for this period, as they were part of the standing rigging. [1]
