so this is where u post stuff when u start building , hehe, i`m new so don`t mind me, well i got inspired by u all and u guys got me back at it after 30 years, so wanted a 1st rate, almost did the santisima trinadad, then said oh plans for HMS Victory, so why not built the most famous war ship ever !!!, now building a scratch build, not as fancy as u guys, got 3d printer, prob would of not started w/o it, fittings etc, some ships i made were painful with thousands of fitting i had to sculpt with a knife, yep titanic i made 6 feet, painful, 3 d printer is the life, 30 years, wow tools, etc, 3 k$ later and i`m set up pretty good, so i hate hulls, i try to fast forward every time i made stuff, victory is all painted, so i said why the heck do a planking, so i finish my planking and painted it, i`m refitting the top part, as i made a crew officer and he said my top canons furniture were off scale, by 2-3 mm, 0o, yep first thing i do next time is make a crew, lol , i follow a plan and darn thing when all plank up i said something isn`t right, check the plan 2-3 times, ribs seems alright, etc, turn out 1 rib to many in the middle made my ship look weird, so what to do, well its sad but i had to cut that extra rib out, well to let u know , that is a painful thing to put it back together, omg, but now i can sleep better, lol, don`t judge to hard, seeing u guys i almost didn`t join hehe u guys are like working in a museum or something.

here is my ship, did the hull, back, top part almost done, refiting the canons, furniture, off scale, etc, will see, next is boats on top deck and side, maybe the back, then the front, then the mast, not sure about the sails yet, prob folded and maybe open the ones in the middle, so 3d printer is a beast, its running like crazy right now lol, i do built fast as i work also from home and can spend 6-8 hrs a day on it if i want to

3d stuff on the go, as i design in blender and 3d print it, i just heard that some had a piece of the original ship, heck i need that also, :), so i bought a piece, 35 $ very small piece, with legit paper work, etc, when the refit was done on the ship, u see the new colors, man took me a full week of testing colors to get a match, i think there clear coat changed it a bit, but oh well, that inside color u see stayed

here is a cherub, i`ll mirror it in cura, it won`t be as detail as u see here, missing the clothes that will blue over it, it should be similar as the ship, not as chubby, no where to find a cherub, lol, there is a few but i would have to mod it a lot , maybe grab the head at least and slap it on this model

yep, he is a pirate, even in the pack of pirates lol, but it will be so small u won`t even see his face much, he is just there for show, prob close to the same height as a crew? will have to look it up

things i need to do is that darn figurehead, will take time, then the guy on the back, both sides, might just sculp it and be done, as its very small w/o much detail, as i see them on ships, they mostly all sculp them, i got the shield made up, a glossy pic of the real thing, not bad, best i could find, the rest i`ll prob make, where is some 3d models when u need them, guest i will make all of them in the end, i could start my own 3d making stuff for ships, i got tons of 3d models already hehe, ty for posting, its not a busy place

Nicely done MJY. This reminded me of Lord Nelson's coat from Trafalgar which has been on display at RMG and might be interesting for anyone having a chance to visit there.
