Hello everyone, I received the package this morning, arriving in just under a week. Everything was very well packaged. I'll start building after Christmas. However, there are no planking strips in the box, everything is pre-formed. This makes assembly easier. We'll see how it turns out.

Thanks for showing, who is the Manufacture of this kit?

Hopefully as the pieces come together everything will square up. Nice that the pieces come pre-numbered. Build looks to be going great!

Dear Cedric. I am very excited with the first build of the HMS Wolf. I posted this kit in the New Kits and Development Section, because I spotted a lot of potential in the build. I have perused the Instruction Manual that @zoly99sask Zoly so kindly posted, and I was hugely impressed by it/ This is easily the best instruction manual brought out by a Chinese manufacturer that I have seen. I am confident that you will derive a lot of enjoyment from building HMS Wolf and that she will build into a beautiful model.

I'm very happy about this kit, and the instructions are indeed perfect. So far, the assembly is very enjoyable.
Hello Cedric
I read through the build log of HMS Wolf 1758 by Heinrich and now yours. It looks like a nicely made and formidable kit. As there was no ship named HMS Wolf launched in 1758 or 1759 do you know if this kit is based on any actual ship or did Unicorn just get the date wrong? There is history of Major General James Wolfe in the battle of Quebec in 1759 and there was at least one ship named after him including one launched in 1812.

@AllanKP69 If you read my full introduction, all will be clear,

The 1759 does not refer to the launch date - that was in 1754; but to her configuration in 1759 during the bombardment of Le Havre. It was in that specific configuration that Unicorn chose to model her.

Thank you! Yep, I missed that. I should have gone back or started following your build in the beginning :) I could not find anything on the RMG site for Wolf 1754 or 1759 thus my curiosity about this. I wonder where they found the plans. Wherever they found them it could be another great source of plans! Thanks again, much appreciated.
Allan
