Looking Great!Hello everyone, I've finally finished planking the hull, all that's left is a light sanding and treating the wood.

Yes, you're right, but it's going to be painted red afterwards. This kit is a hidden treasure. But still some annoying issues, the inner planks of the fore deck and main deck are discontinuous.
I am not sure what this means, could you post a picture? Are you referring to the flat of the upper deck and forecastle along the center line or the spirketting and quickwork of the bulwarks, or maybe something else? Probably just me being dense but it happens.he inner planks of the fore deck and main deck are discontinuous.

Hi Allan, no worrys, hope the picture from official instruction and xander898 would help. The joints shouldnt be in the same place, but staggered.I am not sure what this means, could you post a picture? Thanks Jackie, much appreciated.

A lot of folks agree with your statement.Designers sometimes leave bugs that could have been easily fixed during the design phase![]()

It is hard to tell in the photo but is there a seat cut out? Most contemporary drawings show the head without the seat, but a few show a dotted line for the cut out for the seat. Some have the figurehead seated well into the knee of the head if there is a smaller seat for the figurehead to rest on.
JackieI don't think this factor was taken into account when the kit was designed; sanding it down could make it impossible to install the figurehead.

looking good!
